Sitara Theatre
Little Red Riding Hood
NEW
Sitara brings this well known folk tale to life with its usual interactive, dynamic but educational approach. In this hilarious adaptation, we meet Little Red Riding Hood's naughty baby sister, some young shopkeepers and a very grumpy cat. We also tackle the challenging topic of setting personal boundaries as well as exploring stranger danger.
When her grandmother asks Little Red Riding Hood to bring a basket of shopping all the way across the forest, she meets an over friendly wolf. And when the wolf meets the grandmother chaos breaks out.
With talking trees, dancing wolves and some super strong woodcutters, this show is packed full of puppets by the UK Design Artist John Barber as well as a range of theatrical effects.

Hansel and Gretel

When a poor woodcutter finds a new stepmother for his two children, their life turns upside down.
Their sausage-obsessed stepmother soon persuades her husband to abandon his children in the dark forest and when they find a house made of candy, they become prisoners of a very unusual old lady. Only with the help of your students, will Hansel and Gretel find their way out of the forest and back home to wreak revenge. With puppets and masks by John Barber, acclaimed UK design artist, Sitara uses a range of theatre techniques to turn this traditional fairytale into dynamic entertainment with a strong moral. This show encourages students to work together and never give up!

School FAQ
Sitara Theatre and Sitara Workshop are based in Porto Cairo Mall, Tagamoa 1. If the journey is too long, we can bring dynamic Sitara shows to your schools in 6th October and Sheikh Zayed.
Sitara Theatre’s performances are based on well-known fairy tales, folktales or children's literature. The show tells the stories using a range of theatrical techniques, which could include puppetry, masks, music, live singing, dance, shadow puppetry, black light theatre, projection and many more. Our shows are dynamic, engaging and very interactive. During the show, all the children help tell the story and a handful of students become characters in the story. We provide spectacular performances in an intimate space and your children and staff are crucial part of each performance.
Sitara Workshop presents shorter performances, often of classic children’s books. Students explore drama or make and operate puppets and masks. We currently offer a fixed range of workshops but can devise a custom-made workshop for any school event or theme with enough notice
