Beauty and the Beast

When a handsome prince makes fun of a hairy witch, she casts a spell on the prince and all who live in his castle. Only when someone agrees to marry the prince, will the the curse be lifted.
Meanwhile, Beauty's father loses all his ships and he must set off on a journey to see if any money can be saved. On his journey, a rose is taken and Beauty's life is changed forever. This interactive show explores whether we can judge a book by its cover. With puppets and masks by John Barber, UK design artist, animation, shadow puppetry and projection, Sitara weaves an unforgettable tale, packed full of interactive fun, music, dance and the Sitara sense of humour. Perfect for students exploring fairytales, adaptations or writing scripts, or even those who need to be exposed to live theatre.
